What's New - October 2007

04-Nov-2007

Happy Anniversary!

Can you believe that Evelyn David's newsletter is one year old?? Just like a newborn, we've seen incredible growth spurts over the last twelve months in this publication - and in Evelyn David the author. We started this newsletter just weeks after we got word that Murder Off the Books would be published. Our subscriber base has grown from a few loyal family and friends to almost 300 monthly readers. We've shared our thoughts with you about the life of a newly-minted mystery author, kept you up-to-date on our forthcoming events, and learned along with you as we crafted the section on writing tips and tricks. Many thanks for all your support and enthusiasm.

September was a busy month for Evelyn David, with October looking to be even more exhausting. Evelyn visited the public libraries in Greenburgh, Tarrytown, Millerton, and Staatsburg, New York, as well as was the featured speaker at the opening meeting of the seniors group of the Church of the Transfiguration (Tarrytown). Evelyn blogged after each event and covered topics as diverse as the Headless Horseman and Britney Spears (separately, of course!).

In October, please join Evelyn at one (or all) of her many events in New Jersey, Connecticut and Oklahoma. This month's winner of a Whiskey coffee mug is Caryn H. Please encourage family and friends to subscribe and be eligible for our monthly prize drawing.

If your book group would like some bookmarks, just click here and tell us where to send them. Also check out our new page on our web site for Book Groups. It features questions to kickstart a discussion of Murder Off the Books, plus a recipe for Killer Brownies.

You can read blogs about Evelyn David's library and bookstore events at Evelyn's MySpace page and at Amazon Connect.
